It organizes events, most of them family friendly, to welcome members of the LGBT community as well as friends, family, and allies to participate in fun, social activities and to foster a sense of pride and community in Central Alberta..
The Alberta GSA Network is a collective of resources specific to Alberta K-12 students, teachers, and school staff. The network is organized by the Provincial GSA Coordinator, a position within the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS) at the University of Alberta. HIV North is an AIDS service organization based in Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray that promotes awareness, initiates prevention and provides care and support throughout the northern region of Alberta. HIV North provides access to a LGBTQ Youth Mentor who supports identifying youth, their families and allies through gender and sexual diversity education, one-on-one support, and a once per week drop-in in Grande Prairie.
